Origin

A family farm above Pitalito
Huila · 1500–1800 m
Three hectares, picked by the family across four passes. They agreed in writing to publish the FOB price and these photographs, and asked that the farm name stay off the site.
We publish a producer’s name, face or farm name only with their written agreement, and only in the wording they chose. Anything they asked us to leave out is left out of the record as well as the page.
Transit
Ocean freight to the Port of New York and New Jersey (Red Hook Container Terminal), then road to the roastery. The dates on the export and import rows below come from the freight documents rather than from this illustration.
Chain of custody
7 of 7 handovers documented
Each row names who held the coffee, when, how much of it there was, and the document that proves it. The reference next to the badge is the one written on the paper in the folder.

The producer line is the cherry payment itemised on the export invoice, which is not the same as the farm-gate price — the drying patio and the dry mill sit between those two figures. We have asked the exporter for a farm-gate statement and will replace this line when it arrives.
