Two receipts for the same coffee

One of them names the farm

A café receipt proves what you paid. It does not say what the farm got, because nobody along the way is required to write that down. So we wrote it down.

Seven handovers

What we record for one bag

For each handover we keep who held the coffee, its weight and the document that proves it. The reference is printed next to the row so you can ask us for the paper.

01

Harvest

Who picked it, the date and how many kilos of cherry left the farm.

02

Processing

The process used and the number of drying days.

03

Export

Dry milling, grading and the FOB invoice.

04

Import

The customs entry and the FDA prior notice at the Port of New York and New Jersey (Red Hook Container Terminal).

05

Roast

Green weight in, roasted weight out. The difference is the roast loss.

06

Pack

Bag weight, packing date and the printed lot code.

07

Delivery

Delivery date and confirmation from the recipient.

Two lots have all seven rows documented. The pilot has two of four, and its stamp stays a pilot stamp until the other two arrive.
